What is Critical Illness Insurance?
If you plan it in conjunction with your mortgage, Critical Illness Cover will, at an extra premium, provide you with a tax-free capital sum to pay off your mortgage if you are diagnosed with a critical illness and are unable to work. If you can afford it, this is a worthwhile option to consider, but sometimes it can be expensive. Critical Illness immediately pays out a lump sum if you are diagnosed with a serious illness.
